HRM (Human Resource Management) Tools for Detention Centers
In 1998 Haas Information Management was awarded the Justice Departments contract to provide a time management system for all Austrian Detention Centres. After a successful development, testing and implementation phase in a single prison the HRM system called DPSA (DienstPlan und StundenAbrechnung) was rolled out nation wide to over 30 prisons.
DPSA is a software system allowing the prison management & planing team to create departments, personnel groups and operational plans. Managers can allocate staff to groups (Night Team, Agency Staff and more), department (High Security, Low Security, Outdoor and more), attach pre defined hourly definition and create shift work patterns. Thereafter, reports can be generated to establish working hours and locations where individuals or groups spent working hours. This in turn allows the management team to establish staffing, payment and HR planning issues.
In the last 10 years the system has been improved, gained a wealth of functionality and has been updated regularly to meet new legislation and laws.
